PETER RIGBYE

GENERAL MANAGER – PEOPLE AND CULTURE

Peter was appointed to his current role in July 2021.  He leads a team that is accountable for shaping the workplace culture at Hastings Deering to deliver on key people priorities and creating positive experiences for employees. Prior to his current position, Peter was Executive Manager – Human Resources at Hastings Deering, a role in which he was responsible for the provision of strategic advice and support across many areas of the business, including talent and performance, recruitment, remuneration and rewards, organisational development, and workplace relations. Before joining Hastings Deering, Peter worked predominately in the resources sector holding various HR leadership positions with Vale, Downer, Lihir Gold and HR consulting roles in the Middle East, China, and the Pacific region. Peter holds a Bachelor of Business (HR) from QUT and is a Professional Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
