Lee joined Hasting Deering in January 2023 as General Manager Health Safety and Sustainability.

He brings more than 20 years’ global experience in senior Health Safety, sustainability, environment,  and risk management roles across the Mining, Manufacturing and transportation sector.

He is a highly regarded, experienced executive, with a strong track record of leading high performing teams in dispersed geographical environments.

Lee is accountable for leading the implementation of the Health safety and sustainability strategy.

Through his extensive knowledge, Lee drives the HSE and Risk policy agenda. His achievements include embedding risk management systems, delivering key strategic projects, and developing and implementing a global learning and development strategy. 

Prior to joining Hasting Deering, Lee held a number of senior leadership positions including Vice President – Health, Safety, Environment, Training and Risk at Dyno Nobel and Incitec Pivot Fertilisers and prior to that, Group Manager Health, Safety, Training and Risk at Xstrata Coal Queensland.
