Emma is a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience in strategy development and execution, business management, marketing, and transformation. Emma joined Hastings Deering in 2023 as the General Manager – Strategy, Marketing and Digital. In this role Emma runs a team of over 100 people and business units of Customer Experience & Marketing, Data, Digital & Analytics, Strategic Facilities, Strategy and Enterprise Portfolio Management and Communications & Governance. Prior to her current role, Emma spent 15 years at QIC, Queensland’s $100 billion fund manager, driving business growth and transformation. During her tenure, she was responsible for the development and execution of key business strategies and managing marketing initiatives across a range of business units.
Emma holds a Business Degree and Master of Business Administration from Queensland University of Technology, qualifications from Yale School of Management in Corporate Sustainability Management, and from Harvard Business School in Leadership.
Emma is also a qualified Company Director, bringing a wealth of governance and regulatory knowledge to her role at Hastings Deering. She is on the CEDA State Advisory Committee and volunteers on the Brisbane Writers Festival Board.
